Special-Mission Aircraft Modifications

L3 Aeromet offers a wide range of engineering services and capabilities for special-mission aircraft modifications. Using a systems engineering approach, we work with our customers to clearly define mission requirements, select the optimum platform, identify the preferred technical solution, integrate and test the system. Airframe experience includes Gulfstream, G-II/II-B/IV, McDonnell Douglas C-9B (DC-9), AT-6B, Learjet 25 / 35 / 36, Beechcraft King Air C-90, Beechcraft C-12, Cessna 172 / 210 / 421 / 441, and Dassault Falcon DA-20. Our customers include the U.S government, international governments and commercial entities, complying with FAA and military certification requirements.

Typical products include the design, production, integration and test of custom external pods, fairings and radomes (under-wing and fuselage-mounted). Accommodating EO/IR sensors, surveillance radar systems, electronic warfare systems, communications systems, aerial survey sensors, scientific research systems and specialized antennas. We also perform airborne R&D captive carry services for specialized payloads.

Full range of Flight Science services: Analysis and test to validate the airworthiness of aircraft systems and equipment. Coordination with designated airworthiness authorities to obtain formal flight certification. Design guidance in a broad array of aeronautical, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.
